A Web-site Found & A Video Produced

A Great Web-site Discovery

I came across a post about posting to image sites other than Instagram. I think it was some where on Facebook. Someone suggested two location based sites both of which I have explored and posted on.

The one that I like the most and suggest you take a look at is PhotoHound. It is a relatively new site. Was really started in 2020 I think. It basically has two items spots and images. Images are posted to spots. Thus if there is no a spot to post your image to you need to create a spot to post your image to. I like spots are curated, in that spots have to be checked before they go live. This means that errors should be minimised and warnings etc. can be put in.

What I further like is the information that is given about the spots. It gives where you can park and directions of how to get there. It also says when the best time to go there, what there is to photograph, and how to preserve the environment.

I feel this is a great site and feel that I want to get involved, particularly in relation to the Lake District. To this end I have already created one spot that is live and another that is being curated. Further, I have also posted four other images to existing spots. Here is a link to my ‘page’ on the site - https://www.photohound.co/member/KeswickLimey/ - why not take a look.

A New YouTube Video

The video that went live today has been a long time coming and one that I have been thinking of producing for sometime.

I went out to go up Todd Crag back in March. I decided that it was just going to be a short visit and not enough footage to create a separate video but could produce an image that I could film the process to get that image on the wall.

I managed to record the process on the computer relatively quickly but there was a delay in getting the print ordered. It the moment the area in the house where I do the mounting and framing is also used for tother things as the amount of mounting and framing is limited. So it took some time to find a slot where it could clear the space to do the work and film it (needed more clearing to be able to film as well as do the work).

The video is done and is live so hopefully gets good reception.
