An Old Copper Mine!

This week I managed to get out despite all that is going on. I drove down to Coniston and walked up to Levers Water. This is a reservoir situated above some old mine workings, according to the OS map.

Waterfall on Church Beck

There was this nice waterfall on Church Beck not far out of Coniston and I decided to capture its image.

When I got to the old mine area I discovered that it had been a copper mine. There was some of the old machinery around to make nice images of the area.

I then headed to Levers Water coming across many more waterfalls. I captured the image of one of these but I am sure I will be back at some point to capture images of some of the others.

I have been quite busy with various things and so have not had chance to work on the website but will be doing so over the coming weeks.
